The companies involved

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is being developed by a consortium of oil companies led by British oil giant BP.

It would need the backing of a number of financial institutions, including public institutions like the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Bank of Reconstruction & Development (EBRD), and the Export Credit Guarantee Department (ECGD).

Much of the construction and planning work would be carried not by BP and its partners, but by a number of contractors to the company.

Ownership of the Project Directorate is shared by the follwoing companies:
